Privacy Policy

We (Dr. Moy's family, the creators of this website) have provided a form on the "contact" page of this website where we may collect visitors' names, email addresses, and comments. We will use that information only to share with members of Dr. Moy's family and, if a visitor consents, to post their memory or message on this memorial site so that other visitors can see it.

Apart from that, we don't actually know exactly what information this website collects and how it uses it. We made the website using Wix and have not added any third-party add-ons that collect additional information. We do see that there are some trackers on the website, but Wix neither provides us with any information about what information it and its business partners collect and how they use it, nor enables Wix users to simply deactivate all non-essential trackers on a wholesale basis. (We find this really frustrating.)

To our knowledge, we do not have analytics tools, advertising, or social media plug-ins activated on this website, and when we look at the site using privacy monitoring tools, it looks like there are few to no trackers on the site. However, we cannot guarantee that there are no trackers associated with analytics, advertising, or social media functionality, because Wix does not provide us with any information about whether or not these things are built into all their websites by default, and we can't tell.

All of that said, here's some of the sample language that Wix suggests its users use:

We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
